Automotive World 2024: Electrification Technologies (1) e-Axles and Motors

15th EV, HV & FCV Technology Expo, 16th Int’l Automotive Electronics Technology Expo

Summary

Automotive World 2024 (Period: January 24 - 26, 2024) was held at the Tokyo Big Sight convention and exhibition center.

According to RX Japan, the organizer of the event, the total number of visitors for the entire exhibition, including NEPCON, Green Factory Expo, Smart Logistics Expo and others held concurrently with Automotive World, was 77,744 over the three days of the Expo, increasing from the 74,193 visitors last year.

Although not many Tier 1 suppliers exhibited, there were many motor winding machine and power module-related suppliers, giving the impression that the event had returned to the bustle it had before the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Part 1 in the Automotive World 2024 Electrification Technologies series, this report introduces exhibits including e-Axles, drive motors and motor-related manufacturing processes, components, and materials shown at Automotive World 2024 and concurrent expositions including the 15th Japan EV, HV & FCV Technology Expo, the 16th CAR-ELE JAPAN International Automotive Electronics Technology Expo, the 10th Automotive Parts & Processing Expo, and the 14th Automotive Weight Reduction Expo.
