According to statistics of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), production of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in September 2020 increased 51.8% year-over-year (y/y) to 135 thousand units and sales of NEVs rose 71.9% y/y to 137 thousand units, marking an increase for the third consecutive month. From January to September 2020, production and sales of New Energy Vehicles were 731 thousand units and 727 thousand units, respectively, of which NEV passenger car production and sales were 667 thousand and 663 thousand units, NEV commercial vehicle production and sales were 64 thousand and 65 thousand units respectively.
