According to statistics of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), sales of New Energy Vehicles in November 2021 increased 124.9% over the same period last year and 17.6% over the previous month to 448,000 units. Both year-over-year (y/y) and month-over-month (m/m) sales continued to increase in November, but the level of increase was slightly smaller than previous. Sales of New Energy Vehicles have maintained increases since April, and this month's sales reached a record high, surpassing 400,000 units.
Sales for the January-November period totaled 2,972,000 units. This is an increase of 167.2% over the same period last year.
By vehicle type, New Energy Passenger Cars accounted for 95.5% of the total. The share held by passenger cars is increasing every year.
