EV startup Rivian has been selling Rivian R1T, electric pickup truck from 2021 Autumn in US.
Munro & Associates, Inc. purchased a R1T early and conducted a teardown analysis.

  • Equipped with 2 dual motor drive units at the front and rear, each wheel is driven by 4 drive motors. The front drive unit has 415hp and the rear drive unit has 420hp, for a total of 835hp.
  • The battery capacity is 135kWh and supports fast charging of up to 160kW.
  • Equipped with driving automation level 2 including 5 radar sensors, 10 monocular cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors
