Toyota Business Fair 2024: EV Technologies, Carbon Neutrality

Next-generation lithium-ion batteries, gigacasting, recycling, upcycling

Summary

The Toyota Business Fair (organized by Toyota City and the Toyota Chamber of Commerce and Industry) was held at Sky Hall Toyota from May 23 to 24, 2024. The Toyota Business Fair has been held since FY 2009 in part to overcome the global economic recession caused by the Lehman Brothers collapse in 2008. The event is a comprehensive exhibition with displays from a wide range of businesses and organizations, mainly serving as a venue for "manufacturing" companies in the automotive industry in Toyota City and the surrounding area producing superior technologies and products, as well as retailers, service providers, public institutions, and support organizations. This year marked the 14th year for the event, which was a great success with 120 exhibitors (compared to 108 last year) and 5,800 visitors (compared to 4,350 last year). This report covers Toyota's special exhibits (next-generation lithium-ion batteries, Gigacasting) and carbon-neutral related technologies relevant to automobiles.
