Summary

EV, HV, FCV Technology Expo venue

Automotive World 2022 (Period: January 19 - 21, 2022) was held at the Tokyo Big Sight convention and exhibition center. Since the event was held amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, there were few Tier 1 supplier exhibitors, and some booths had only display panels and no explanation staff. Conversely, there were booths with a higher weighting of EV-related exhibits, and the venue returned to the East Hall for the first time in three years since 2019 and was bustling. According to RX Japan Ltd., the organizer of the event, the total number of visitors for the entire exhibition held concurrently with Automotive World (total for 3 days) was 32,795, more than double the number of 14,804 last year.

This report introduces the exhibits of e-Axle, motors, motor components, batteries, modules, etc. as the electrification-related technologies (1) at the 13th EV/HV/FCV Technology Expo, the 14th International Automotive Electronics Technology Expo, the 8th Automotive Parts & Processing Expo, the 12th Automotive Weight Reduction Expo, etc.
