Segments	Segment Overview
QNX	The division is a leader in embedded software where the Company believes it is the world’s leading automotive foundational software supplier. It consists of QNX, BlackBerry Radar, and BlackBerry Certicom. QNX provides safe and secure operating systems, hypervisors, middleware, solutions, and development tools for software-defined businesses across industries, including automotive and commercial vehicles. QNX software is embedded in more than 255 million vehicles worldwide and is implemented into all the top 10 automotive OEMs, top 7 Tier 1 suppliers, and 24 of the 25 top EV OEMs, including BMW, Dongfeng Motor, Geely, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Bosch.
Secure Communications	The division provides secure communications solutions for governments, defense, critical infrastructure, and enterprises. Its offerings include end-to-end protection for voice, messaging, video, mobile security, and crisis event management.
Licensing	The division manages and monetizes the Company’s global patent portfolio. As of February 28, 2025, the Company owned approximately 6,300 worldwide patents and applications, covering areas such as operating systems, networking infrastructure, acoustics, messaging, enterprise software, automotive subsystems, cybersecurity, cryptography and wireless communications.
