Introduction
This report describes the future trends and current status of thermal management for lithium-ion batteries in BEVs (battery electric vehicles). Countermeasures for heat are also provided for e-Axles (motors, inverters, and reduction gears) in HVs (hybrid vehicles), PHEVs (plug-in hybrid electric vehicles), and BEVs, but these are excluded from the scope of this report. In addition, the subject markets for this report are Europe, the United States and China, where BEV sales are growing, and Japan is included for reference only.
