Next-generation Items from Emerging EV Automakers

Technological trends of Hozon Auto, NIO, Li Auto, Xpeng, Leapmotor, Human Horizons

Summary

Based on patent information, TTDC has estimated development systems and trends in development items for emerging EV manufacturers in China. While Xiaopeng Motors (XPeng), NIO Inc. (NIO), and Hozon New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. (Hozon Auto), which are the companies with the highest number of patent applications, suggest that they are strengthening their development systems, Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co., Ltd. (Leapmotor), Human Horizons Technology Co., Ltd. (Human Horizons), and Li Auto Inc. (Li Auto) do not show any signs of this. A comparative study of the technological fields and development items of each company showed that each company is developing technologies for EVs from a different perspective.
