The 2024 China Electric Vehicle Charging and Battery Swap Ecosystem Conference was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, November 20-22. This report introduces some of the presentations given at the conference opening ceremony held on November 21st, the main conference forum, Thematic Session 1 "Installation of charging facilities along expressways and general national/provincial trunk roads," and Thematic Session 4 "Research and discussion on high-power charging modes." Speakers at the conference included representatives of the China Charging Alliance, Li Auto Inc. (Li Auto), and Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd. (BAIC). At the opening ceremony of the conference, the China Charging Alliance speaker released and explained the "2023-2024 China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Development Annual Report." The representative from Li Auto shared the company’s experience in building an ultra-fast charging network on highways. The presenter from BAIC explained the current status of high-voltage ultra-fast charging and the future charging needs of electric vehicles.
