According to an announcement by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), sales of Chinese commercial vehicles in 2023 increased by 22.1% year-over-year (y/y) to 4,031,000 units. Of this total, domestic sales in China were 3,261,000 units (up 20% y/y) and exports were 770,000 units (up 32.2% y/y). Trucks numbered 3,539,000 (up 22.4% over the previous year) and buses 492,000 (up 20.6%).
The 2024 China Commercial Vehicle Forum, organized by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, was held March 26-28 in Shiyan, Hubei Province. It consisted of one closed-door summit, one opening conference, and thematic forums in six areas, covering various commercial vehicle topics.
