The Automotive Engineering Exposition 2017 YOKOHAMA was held at Pacifico Yokohama for three days from May 24 to 26, 2017. In the following month, Nissan, Honda, and Subaru announced or confirmed their plans for introducing autonomous driving technology.

This report covers plans to introduce autonomous driving technology by the OEMs noted above, as well as their respective exhibitions at the JSAE 2017 expo. (For Toyota’s exhibition, see the previous report.)

Nissan, Honda, and Subaru unveiled models and technology related to autonomous driving at the JSAE.

New models released in the past six months, including the Note e-Power (Nissan), CX-5 (Mazda), WagonR (Suzuki), Impreza (Subaru), Mira e:S, and Thor (Daihatsu) were exhibited and the new technologies adopted for each of these were introduced.

Mitsubishi Motors exhibited the Outlander PHEV. The company also described their concept for the future, called "future all-wheel control technology," where all-wheel drive technology integrated with ADAS and autonomous driving technology will contribute to control and driving performance.
